Welcome to the K/1 Green Homepage!

    We are a class of fifteen students exploring and learning together at Northbridge International School Cambodia, located in Phnom Penh.   We are all in Kindergarten or the First Grade, spending our days learning how to read and write, doing arithmetic, and exploring the world around us.   

Announcements


  • 5/9- Caregiver Training Celebration from 9:30-10:00 in the library.  Come and join Mr. Rob and the rest of the staff to celebrate all the learning and sharing that has taken place throughout the year during the many training sessions.
  • 5/11- Mr. Skelly Bones, performed by the 7th grade students in the cafeteria, 2:15 pm.
  • 5/14- King's Birthday- no school.
  • 5/17- ASA Dance in the cafeteria, 1:45 pm.
  • 5/19- Garage Sale @ NISC.  Begins at 8:30 am, come and browse through second hand shops, food stalls, along with many other activities.  Raffle for prizes at the end!
  • 5/31- Parent Tea- 8-9:00 am.  Drop by and see what the students have been learning!
  • 6/1- Teacher Work Day- no school
  • 6/6- Last Day!  Half day for students.  We are having an end of the year party at the ECC from 10:30-11:30 am.  Please come by and celebrate with us!

Stars of the Week

Mey Nhun

 Mey Nhun has been an excellent worker this week!  She shows lots of enthusiasm for everything we do and always works very hard to finish her assignments.  Mey Nhun has been doing some excellent work! 

Chloe

Chloe has been very knowledgeable this week.  She has been very active in our discussions and is always seen raising her hand to answer a question or to share her thoughts.  She has brought a lot to our class discussions!

Happening This Week

  • The students are dissecting Fairytales to learn what special characteristics they have.
  • We are also learning about story elements, primarily "Characters, Setting, Problem, and Solutions" for stories that we are reading.
  • The students are also practicing their skills at being playwrights and actors.  They have successfully put on their own show for themselves, with many fairytales.
  • The students are learning about volume using water and cups to correctly measure volume for specific containers.
  • The students are also reviewing their 3D shapes. This time we are also learning about the number of faces and corners of each shape
